God’s greatest masterpiece of creation is you. You are uniquely gifted and chosen by him. Using those gifts to glorify Him. You are God’s Creation – You Best gift To The World Is You.
Your Best Gift To The World Is You!
Recently I had the pleasure of starting a brand new hobby. One I have heard so much about, but have failed to take up on my own.
I can officially say; I can add binge-watching to my list of present-day activities. And staying up much too late to watch just one more episode. This new to me show, “The Incredible Dr. Pol” has given me a new fondness for farm animals.
Each year, I tease my husband about acquiring chickens or ducks to raise.
My love for foul animals shows up with frequent visits to Tractor Supply during the spring. “Hey, kids, aren’t these chicks and ducklings so cute? Don’t you just want to take some home?” (wink, wink). He loves me so much, and I know he is holding back his genuine answer.
Instead of harsh words, he presents me with a smile and a head nod.
The honest-to-goodness truth is I know our Green Acres Farm will never have living small domestic creatures on our one-third of an acre property. This is due to town restrictions for neighborhoods, but one can dream and binge-watch awe-inspiring shows.
Dr. Pol’s show is an inspiration to our spirit in humanity. Each day, he sees many animals, ranging from dogs and cats to cows and horses.
Their owners are distraught over symptoms they have never seen presented in their precious pets or farm investments. Dr. Pol shows up, does his examination, investigates, and, based on his passion and love for animals, comes up with a diagnosis and a plan.
He has a heart for animals and an affection to care for not only them but to encourage and uplift their owners in times of worry. Some would say his knowledge and education are evident. Truth is, it’s not as simple as having an education or experience.
We are called to use our God-given gifts to serve others as faithful stewards of His grace. – 1 Peter 4:10
God is behind every gift, talent, and passion you have. He created YOU and Dr. Pol in uniqueness. Your talent is set apart from knowledge. It is not a learned behavior, although it can be strengthened through education and experience.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
– Ephesians 2:10 NIV
God created us to do wonderful works for His glory. You were not created by accident. In fact, He created you in His likeness. You are wonderfully and beautifully made.
Every passion, every stirring in your heart stowed and strategically placed by God. Let this statement sit and resonate in your mind. We are all different; not molded by one casting, but many.
God purposely made us all different. We together make up His Mighty Kingdom.
The secular world will tell us our talents of caring and inspiring leadership is not successful enough as “Karen”. God specifically created you, Karen, and Dr. Pol to be special in your own way. In fact, Paul compares the body of Christ to the human body. Each has a vital role and makes the body complete (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
Just as Paul states: “If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how could it smell? “
It’s true. If you were not born, your talents and gifts would be missing. You would be the missing link to a vitally important role. In fact, Your Best Gift To The World Is You! The body of Christ needs you.
When we see others being successful, our thoughts run and we often forget God’s plan for our life. A plan that differs greatly from our fellow Christian sisters.
This is what Satan wants. Satan’s greatest goal is keeping us from God’s purpose and plan. He wants us to compare, to self-doubt, and to have debilitating fears about moving forward.
BUT…
God chose you, and He chose me. THAT IS RIGHT, MY SISTER!
He chose us based on His foreknowledge (Jeremiah 1:5) Greater is HE that is within ME, then he who is in this world. Let me say it again, Greater is HE that is within ME than he who is in this world.
But I don’t have any talents…
If you are struggling to see your calling. Know all Christians have ONE goal. To glorify God in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31). Reminding yourself of this is a surefire way to get excited.
Do it all for Him. Raise your children to know Jesus, love your neighbor as yourself, go to work, and pray His light shines through you and all that you do.
Take comfort in knowing God’s declaration
will be your divine destination.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for the gifted people who have presented us with the powers of technology. That we may communicate, read, and spread more of your gospel. I thank you for providing each of us with unique and special gifts. We know you have set us apart for a plan and purpose. I pray you continually remind us that you are presently working in our lives, even when we don’t see. I pray with bravery you use our gifts to glorify you. Even if it means we have to step out of our comfort zone. Help us to be great fishers of men. Growing your mighty kingdom. I pray for those women who are less inclined to see their talents. Lord, show them and remind my sisters — in everything they do, they are doing it for you.
– In Your Precious Name – AMEN
